The Welsh Doll, also titled "Miss Wales" in pencil preserved on a scrap of the original mount, Etching, ca. 1888-94, Z.47, JAW Ed. proofs only, CWE Ed. of 25 plus proofs in 1926-7, 7-7/8 x 6, signed with initials on the woman's apron in the plate lower right, on cream laid paper, stray ink spots in the upperleft margin, slightest toning within mat opening, original brown paper hinges recto. A proof outside the Edition of 25 printed in 1927 by Weir's daughter Caro Weir Ely. There was no formal lifetime edition. Descended in the artist's family.
