"Snow and Stars" by Sabra Johnson Field, Amer., (B. 1935)
Color Woodcut, 1971, open ed. inactive, actual number printed unknown, 5-3/8 x 14-15/16, this is an early impression on fibrous white wove Japan paper, signed and titled in pencil. A few faint foxing marks mostly in the margins, one small darker fox mark on the upper hill at center. A crisp, rich early impression of this elegantly reductive early winter scene by the ex-Connecticut artist, who now goes by Sabra Field, and has achieved notoriety as one of Vermont's most famous artists.
