 Etching & Aquatint, 1962, Ed. 6/6, plus 6 proofs in various colors, 11-7/8 x 17-11/16, signed, titled, dated and numbered 6/6 in pencil, on cream wove paper 14-1/2 x 20-3/4. Printed at Bob Blackburn's Harlem Studio. Ms. Martin traveled to Italy on a Fulbright Fellowship Grant in 1959, and for many years was the Chair of the Art Department at the Westover School in Middlebury, CT. Her mature work in many media is distinguished by  playful inventions of organic form and explorations of bilateral symmetry. This is one of an important group of early etchings and block prints she made from 1961-63, all in small editions.
