Etching, 1939 or earlier, ed. probably 100, 8-7/8 x 6-15/16, signed, dated and dedicated in pencil, and signed in the plate, on buff laid PRAGA watermarked paper with small margins as printed, two small lightened areas top margin edge from previous tape hinges. A fine impression of this wonderful view of the Yale landmark in downtown New Haven, CT. Edward J. Balthazar was a Yale Law School graduate, class of 1915, and practiced law for many years in Waterbury, CT. In 2010 a selection of prints by the artist was exhibited in "Travelers Tales" an exhibition of work by American printmakers based in Connecticut, held at the Mattatuck Museum in Waterbury.
