$575
Lithograph, 1897, Ed. unknown, 12-1/16 x 9-3/16, printed in a warm brown ink, and signed in pencil by Boutet. This lithograph appearred on the cover of Boutet's softbound folio "Autour d'Elles", with studies from the female nude published in Paris in 1897, edited by Paul Ollendorff with plate captions, and a preface by Georges Montorgueil. In the folio version there is additional blank space above the model where the folio title is printed in cursive. For this hand signed edition the stone was printed on a thin light gray chine affixed to a cream wove support sheet 14-7/8 x 10-1/16. The print itself has a few faint spots of foxing center left, with a small inclusion in the paper; the margin edges toned with two repaired edge tears at left and one at right edge, tiny one at bottom edge, a small lower right corner loss, corner bumps and two small edge nicks and there is a diagonal soft fold just touching the upper right corner tip of the chine. None of these marginal flaws will be visible under the mat. It is nice to have the print which graced the cover of Boutet's boudoir folio in a signed impression.
