Delicatessen Booth by John Winkler, Amer. (1894-1979)

 Etching, 1918, LC 10, Ed. 75, 6-7/16 x 3-15/16, signed in pencil, diffuse barely noticable stain above three wrapped containers bottom center, on thin cream wove japan paper 8-1/4 x 5-3/4. The delicacy of Winkler's etched line here and descriptive accuracy of his draftsmanship affirm his master as an etcher. A lumious impression on the cream japan showing a delightfully Whistlerian influence.
