"Bodas de Sangre" by Mauricio Lasansky, Arg.-Amer., (1914-2012)
Color Etching, Engraving, Aquatint, Soft Ground, printed from nine plates, stated as 1951, but this imp. signed and titled in pencil and dated 1949, 20-1/2 x 28-7/8, on thick buff colored wove paper with small but original margins, some minor tape stain at margin edges with brown water tape all around from the original drying after printing, the colors bright and fresh. One of Lasansky's larger and most important prints, in a stunning impression; inspired by a tragic play written by Garcia Lorca in 1932.
