Engraving , Soft Ground Etching & Scorper, 1950, 3rd state, Ed. of 13 printed, B. M. 194,  9 x 11-7/8, there are two vertical creases running through the image,  detectable recto in raking light, but not when viewed head on, a horizontal fold at center is not detectable recto, there is old masking tape residue all around at the uneven but adequate margin edges, sheet 11-1/4-3/4 x 15, signed, titled, dated 50 and annotated "Etat" in pencil by Hayter, on thick cream wove Cranach paper. Ex Coll. artist Norman Gorbaty, perhaps acquired from his teacher Gabor Peterdi. The condition issues have a negligable visual impact. This impression of Black Angel presents well and the print is quite rare. $2,500
