"Heart of Wilmington" by James Kirk Merrick, Amer., (1905-1985)

Linocut, 1928, ed. unknown, 6 x 9, signed, dated and noted "imp." in pencil, on thick fibrous cream wove japan paper, a few handling creases, mostly to lower margin, tiny trace of glue to upper  corners, a stray speck of ink left center margin. A striking Arts & Crafts block print image of urban Wilmington with it's bold sweep of clouds from the late 1920's by this Philadelphia and Provincetown trained artist who's prints are not commonly encountered.
