Lithograph, 1964, ed. 40, S. 293, the "Bon a Tirer" impression approved by Wengenroth and given to his printer as a guide for printing the edition; initialed "OK S.W. edition 40" in the lower left margin, and signed & numbered in pencil by the artist, on white wove paper. "Bon a Tirer" a french phrase meaning "good to print", signifying an excellent print the artist wishes all others in the edition to measure up to. Slight toning in mat opening. A classic New England subject by Wengenroth, exhibiting his superb mastery of light, value and texture, in a small edition.
