Regular price $250
Etching, before 1917, ed. unknown,  5-7/8 x 7-13/16, signed & dedicated "To Miss Mildred Jordan" in pencil, on very thin cream laid paper with small margins, hence the chain lines being visible; laid down at the edges to a card stock mount, probably by the artist; the card stock mount chipped at the lower right corner, well away from the print. An early 20th century scene of New Haven Harbor, showing ships and coal barges moored dockside with scaffolding and conveyor belts for the transfer of cargo. Multiple smoke stacks billow smoke which drifts slowly across the sky. A fine impression of this historic early 20th century view of New Haven's maritime commerce, with a distinct and pleasing Whistlerian influence. ON HOLD
