Regular price $850
Lithograph, 1929, F.31, Ed. of 50,  14 x 9-1/16, signed, numbered and dated in pencil, on cream wove paper. An early example of Lozowick's poigniant commentary on the plight of the unemployed during the depression years. An American master of lithography with an immediately recognizable style, here Lozowick creates a a strongly realistic image of idleness in Washington Square, but by using bold tonal contrasts, separating the elements and overlaying the mesh grid on the idled worker, he accentuates the abstract qualities of it's design.
