Woman Seated Sewing, Etching & Drypoint, 1889, Z.9, Ed. unknown, plate 5-3/16 x 3-7/8, image 4-1/2 x 3-5/16, unsigned, on cream wove paper with small margins as issued. A few spots of marginal foxing and traces of glue residue to corners verso from previous mount. A fine proof impression printed by Weir's daughter Caro, but no formal edition was made, so impressions either lifetime or posthumous, are scarce. A lovely, tranquil portrait of Weir's first wife Anna Baker Weir. Ex-coll. descendants of of Anna Weir Ely Smith.
