Etching, 1883, S. 79, only state, 9-1/2 x 13-3/8, signed & dated in the plate lower left, the margins trimmed but adequate, larger than shown here, (my standard website catalogue photographs document a print with margins as they appear once matted; I'm always happy to provide a photo of the entire sheet) on thick cream laid paper. A stunning view of Gloucester's harbor in the late 19th century; the plate tone on this impression dramatically wiped to selectively capture sunlight on the sails and buildings in fore & middle ground, leaving those in the distance at left in shadow, and the view both tranquil yet alive.
