Regular price $275

Drypoint, 1930's, Ed. unknown, 8-7/8 x 11-3/8, signed, titled & inscribed in pencil, on cream wove paper. A wonderful Kent, CT area scene of bathers at leisure on a warm summer day. Robert NIsbet was a long time resident of Kent, Connecticut,  finding great inspiration for his many paintings and prints in the verdant rolling hills and tranquil banks of the Housatonic river as it meanders south towards New Milford. Nisbet often used drypoint to great advantage, conveying the effects of light, shadow and atmosphere "en plein air"in his prints, as in this richly inked print, a fine example of his work.
