"EAT ME !" by William Kent, (Amer., 1919-2012)

Color Slate Print, 1963, Ed. 8/50, in various colors on various papers and fabrics, 12-1/4" x 31-1/4", signed, dated and numbered in pencil, on cream laid japan paper, some foxing and small loses to top margin from previous hinges, a  rich and vibrant impression of this large print by Kent, with particularly beautiful embossing to the text and structural elements of the fish; either a an albacore or yellowfin tuna. As is common with the texts in Kent's prints, there is a literal message which offers a second meaning, hovering between humor and defiance, open to interpretation.
