Color Slate Print, 1964, printed 2008, Ed. of 6 known on various papers and fabrics, 26" x 22", signed, dated and annotated "mono print" in black ball point pen, printed in three colors on white cotton fabric, a few tiny touches of stray ink from the printing. The print's title comes from an early Texan flag. It refers to a group of Texan secessionists; who, when confronted by Mexican nationalists demanding the surrender of a large cannon the Texans turned on them, said "Come and Take It". The figure second from left is General Curtis LeMay, US Air Force, who during the Vietnam War, threatened to knock the North Vietnamese "back to the Stone Age".
