Etching, 1921, Ed. 75,2nd state, with alternate title & date l.l. in plate & lines of wall extended to left edge of the plate, 4-15/16 x 11-5/8, signed & dated in pencil, & titled at left bottom margin edge, on cream laid paper, a few faint spots of foxing near plate edge, faint toning in mat opening, probably full margins, sheet 8-1/16 x 15-1/4 at widest. An original label from Frederick Keppel & Co. accompanies this print, with the edition specified as 75. The editions of most of Roth's prints are not documented, the original label provides period confirmation. The Alternate title Roth etched into the plate l. l. in this 2nd state reads "Segovia from the Porta de Madrid", though Roth still wrote the original shorter given title in pencil at l.l. margin edge. Segovia is located in the middle of Spain and is considered one of the most beautiful of all Spanish cities, with it's Gothic cathedral and Roman aquaducts still extant. The title in the plate is a variation: Segovia from the Porta de Madrid. $400
