"Fruit Forms" by Albert Heckman, Amer., (1893-1971)

Regular price $600
Color Lithograph, 1935-6, Ed. probably 100, 9-3/4 x 16, signed and titled in pencil, on warm white wove paper with large margins, two mended edge tears and a few minor edge losses to sheet. This beautifully rendered color print by Heckman was made in the Woodstock art colony, where his friend the painter and printmaker Emil Ganso had been making color lithographs for a few years. Ganso likely provided advice and encouragement to Heckman, who quickly demonstrated his  mastery with this sensuous study of ripened pears and leaves; just gathered and artfully arranged.
